SUMOR FESTIVAL

A three-day movement and music festival celebrating solstice, in the mystical valley of Abergavenny, Wales - on a working permaculture farm.

Sound you can feel.

An opening. A doorway.

A space above sleep, below waking.

Transition. Attunement.

A blending of electronic and traditional gong, music, sound and ((silence)).

Drones that open you up to feel your own time.

Stepping out of the dopamine loop.

Speaking directly to the nervous system in a slow-building journey through frequency, rhythm, and rest – grounding as a collective ahead of the solstice light’s apex.

Sumor is a three-day solstice celebration over the longest days of the year. Here we construct a container for rest, reconnection and revelry, by day programming powerful ancient movement practices, workshops and sessions to slowly peel back the layers to reveal our inherent interconnectedness with one another. By night, we let these embodied energies loose on the dance floor with a highly curated line-up of DJs, allowing us to unearth deeper polarities and portals within.

Much like our pagan predecessors, Sumor is a time to tap back into the story of solstice. For millennia peoples would congregate at this time of year, break bread, tell each other stories, play music and dance around fires. We do the same but add yoga, a VOID sound system and DJs all night, celebrating our love for underground dance music, ancient movement practices and partying, as we bask in the light of the longest days.

This can be such a transformative weekend for many, a relief from the confines of modern day life and a place to remember our spiritual connection to ourselves, land and each other, reigniting our primal purpose on this planet. It can also be a reminder of a much deeper presence in all of us, so often buried by our fasted paced, consumerist culture and technologies that are designed to disconnect us from our ambient selves. At Sumor, we dial into the highest frequencies of our being, allowing us room to breathe, heal, connect and feel the fullness of the human experience once again.

Join us for the next chapter in June 2026.
