New season, new sound bath: active sound bath with bowl-to-body sound massage & spatial SoundScape gong bath
Sessions include active sound bath techniques usually only available in 1:1 sessions. Bowl-to-body involves direct contact with the Himalayan singing bowls on or near the body so the vibrations move through you, with you. It might seem counterintuitive, but you feel the sensation of the vibrations longer than you would just hearing them in session.
This can really help those who find it hard to drop in, have difficulty relaxing due to anxiety, or ADHD to find that dream state for the rest of the session and let go…
As well as the traditional gong, quartz crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, we use a Soundscape, a digital composition which blends with the acoustic instruments, adding a depth of frequency that can't be reproduced through acoustic instruments alone.

What to wear/bring:
Please wear clothing you will feel comfortable to lay down in, some people find they get cooler as the body relaxes so you having some warmer layers is a good idea
Yoga mats, blankets, foam blocks and eye pillows will be provided, but feel free to bring anything else you want to feel comfortable (pillows, bolsters etc) - nothing squeaky or rustly for obvious reasons though please ;)
The studio is a shoe-free room so you may want to wear/bring some socks
There is a water fountain at the studio (please bring a bottle if you have one), and a cafe/deli downstairs at street level

What will happen at the session:
Everyone will check-in, then get comfortable at their mat and relax
I will speak briefly to introduce the session, focus on breath/mindfulness visualisation, then the sound will run for around 45mins before grounding practise and gentle body release
During the sound session, you will be invited to relax whilst a series of acoustic instruments and sounds will be played
The session will involve light physical contact, but this is optional and you can benefit from the session without it. Feel free to let me know when booking, or at any point during the session if you'd prefer to keep your own space
The sound ends with a percussion sequence to gently bring you back to fully waking state, and you'll have time to self-reflect and land before heading off
Please contact me if you'd like to share any reflections privately with me - this session doesn't require any group speaking/sharing email@soundmirror.co.uk
